It all started when a group of natural health enthusiasts came together to make the ultimate essential oil brand. Their goal was to make pure, affordable oils that the whole family could use. And they certainly succeeded.

There are several things RMO does that most essential oil companies do not that makes them one of the best essential oil brands, in my opinion.

Their top priority is to give you pure essential oils that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, in addition to providing education to those who are new to essential oils. The “Learn” tab on their website is full of information!

They offer the only glass bottle recycling program. You can send in used glass essential oil bottles from ANY brand, and they will deliver it to an authorized recycling center. Or you can enter your location and they will tell you about any recycling centers in your area.

Are Rocky Mountain Oils Safe to Ingest?

No, no essential oils are safe to ingest, in my opinion. This is somewhat of a hotly debated topic in the essential oils community, so to each their own.

I do not agree with ingesting essential oils because they are a very potent and often volatile substance. There are some oils that can’t even touch your skin!

Yes, other oils might be easier on the skin, but we still don’t fully know what they do to us long-term. When essential oils were first used as they are today hundreds of years ago, they were only used sparingly, like putting lavender on a cut.

Now, we use them almost every day! Because of this, I use them very sparingly as well. Like using a DIY bath oil instead of putting straight essential oils into the tub, and only diffusing for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time with no pets in the room.

Don’t Compromise Quality for Price!!

I’ll admit that I didn’t take the quality of my essential oils seriously until I discovered this company. A few years ago, I reached rock bottom when I purchased an obscure oil from a company on Etsy without giving it much thought.

Huge mistake!

The essential oil came in a clear plastic bottle (A huge no-no. All essential oils should be stored in black glass bottles for preservation) and smelled like rancid fish!

The seller tried to convince me that the smell was the oil’s actual scent, but I didn’t buy it. I considered myself lucky to get a refund!

I’ve bought a product from just about every category on here, and I’m going to give you some thoughts on a few products that are great for beginners.

Essential Oil Diffuser Kit | Rocky Mountain Oils Starter Kit

I love to keep a small number of single oils handy so I can mix and match them in my diffuser. And this kit includes every oil you could want! All of the basics, and nothing too complicated.

The Essential Oil Diffuser Kit includes peppermint, tea tree, lemon, orange, lavender, and rosemary. Some of my favorites are Peppermint, Lavender, and Orange. It’s a great Rocky Mountain Oils starter kit!

You also get the cutest little diffuser that plugs into a USB port. I like to plug it into my computer when I work, or I plug it into a wall charge port no problem.

It fills about 250 square feet with aromatherapy goodness. It’s perfect for a small desk or space so you don’t get overwhelmed with the oils.

Now that I’ve been using these oils for years, I can safely say that I know what they’re actually supposed to smell like! My old oils smelled fake compared to Rocky Mountain Oils.

I especially love how invigorating the peppermint oil is. It smells just like the plant!

If you know me in real life, you know that lavender is one of my favorite scents ever. And I’ve never smelled lavender that was so invigorating! It calms me instantly and leaves me in such a good mood.

This Rocky Mountain Oils review wouldn’t be complete without a review of one of their blends! As a single oil kind of person, I’ve never seen the point of oil blends.

I guess I find the option of mixing and matching a small collection of oils more appealing. But with how good of a roll I was on with Rocky Mountain Oils, I thought I’d give a mood-related blend a try.

During stressful times, I love to have a relaxing mixture of oils on my diffuser. I decided to give the blend At Peace a go to give myself some calming benefits all day long vs. a nighttime blend. It’s a mixture of sandalwood, ylang ylang, tangerine, and grapefruit.

I know it sounds like too citrus-y of a blend to be relaxing, but I was pleasantly surprised! This essential oil blend smells like a cotton candy creamsicle dream!

I’ll admit that I’m not much of a citrus person myself, but I might be a convert! I instantly feel a sense of calm wash over me when I smell this blend.

Muscle Soothe | Rocky Mountain Oils Roll-on Review

I’ve always wanted to try a roll-on essential oil, so I went with the most practical option Rocky Mountain Oils has to offer. Being a ballet dancer, I need more than just a daily stretching routine to help with sore muscles. So I went with Muscle Soothe to see if it could actually help me out.

Muscle Soothe consists of frankincense, black pepper, marjoram, lavender, and tangerine oils. The black pepper oil provides a warm, soothing sensation to tired muscles. And I love how this roll-on blend smells!

The tangerine is the strongest odor to me, and I’m not mad about it. I apply it regularly to my right shoulder and outer elbow, because a lot of tension sits there for me #desklife.

Now I want to clarify here that this is for mild muscle tension. Anything that has a serious amount of pain should be examined or worked on by a masseuse.

For the ultimate test, I tried Muscle Soothe on the bottom of my feet after dancing on them for over four hours. Gotta love performance season!

I applied and massaged the oil on my tired feet and put them up for a while. While it didn’t work right away, I was shocked at what happened. The pain migrated from deep within my feet to the top layer of skin and stayed there.
